Description

The Luciferase Assay Kit is designed for the accurate and efficient determination of firefly (P. pyralis) luciferase gene (luc) expression mammalian or bacterial cell cultures. It can be used in either low- or high-throughput assays.

Usage

This product is intended for use in gene expression analysis, including enhancer/promoter analysis, enzymatic screening, and transgene expression analysis.

Storage

This product is store at -20°C and is stable for 12 months. It can be temporarily stored at 4°C for 1 week without loss of stability. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles and direct light exposure.

Troubleshooting

Low or No Luciferase Signal	Low Transfection Efficiency apply a visual transfection control to monitor and optimize transfection conditions. use high quality plasmid DNA specific for transfection.
	Auto-oxidization of Substrate D-Luciferin make aliquotes of Luciferase Assay Reagent, store at -20°C away from direct light. use a new aliquot of Luciferase Assay Reagent if used longer than 3 hours.
	Low Luciferase Expression use a smaller volume of Cell Lysis Buffer to lyse cells. optimize growth conditions. choose a different (stronger) promoter for the transfection plasmid.
