Required for the activation of AURKB and chromosomal congression during mitosis where it stimulates microtubule polymerization.
    Post-Translational Modification: Polyubiquitinated and degraded by the proteasome upon prolonged stress stimuli.
    Cellular locations: Cytoplasm > Cytoskeleton > Microtubule organizing center > Centrosome.

    Colocalizes with gamma-tubulin.
